Vadil Shri Kanjibhai and Shrimati  Lilaben Kotecha

Mr Kanjibhai Kotecha was a founding member of Shree Lohana Mahajan, Ashton-U-Lyne, and our Treasurer for nine consecutive years. Mrs Lilaben Kotecha was always active in the Mahila events, Diwali and Bhajan events. Both have lived most of their lives in Denton, and were familiar faces in community service and at the Ram Mandir. Kanjibhai helped set up the huge Indian Senior Citizen Centre in Whalley Range and was their Treasurer for many years.

They have both moved to Karuna Care Home in Harrow some months ago due to fragile health, and are well settled now, enjoying daily Kirtans and the Gujarati food and atmosphere there. I was fortunate to be present at the launch of Lilabens’s own Bhajans, published in book form and available to our Mahajan.
